About Us.

Simply head over to Cuisine Express Indienne and enjoy a mouthwatering menu of delicious food in our small home-like environment in Chelsea Aylmer, Quebec and experience the true essence of Indian food.

Executive Chef Sultana Asma has years of experience and a deep love for cooking and serving Indian food. From a very young age, Sultana developed a passion for cooking by helping her mother with their daily meals (mostly West Indian Food) and learning in their home.

After moving to Canada in 2018, she wanted to broaden her skills and learn to cook Northern Indian Food. Shortly after she met Mr. Surinder Singh and Christine Fletcher of Last Train to Delhi, and started on her journey. She began to work at the restaurant learning directly from Executive Chef Mr. Surinder Singh. In January 2022, Sultana opened up her own business in the same location, to continue sharing her love of cooking Indian food. In July 2024 we moved the business to Aylmer, and look forward to serving this new vibrant community in our spot with a scenic view of the river.

We are proud to offer both a dine-in and take-out experience. We strive to bring our customers top-quality authentic Indian cuisine and exceptional service.

We are forever grateful to Mr. Surinder Singh and Christine Fletcher for their support and guidance and look forward to continuing to share their love of Indian food with the Aylmer community, who had grown to love the special dishes at Last Train to Delhi.

Last Train to Delhi and Cuisine Express Indienne continue to work together to bring the best authentic Indian cuisine to both Aylmer and Ottawa.

Our Environmental Commitment

Another important element of running this business in Aylmer, is to look after the natural surroundings that this community is known for.  The environment is very important to us and we strive to be as low waste as possible.  Composting, recycling, and minimal garbage is our goal and should be everyone’s.  Our smaller menu helps us with less food waste and we focus on making everything in-house, this enables us to have less packaging waste.
